Fishing is a great way to spend time with friends. I’ve fished with my family most of my childhood, but branched out to fishing with friends as an adult. The plus side of this is that we decide the time and place 🙂 .

Through some online searching. Sarah and I found the Douglas County Fishing Lake. An out-of-the-way hidden gem in Kansas. It was only 30 minutes to the west of our city.

Above are some fly fishing adventures at Bennett Springs State Park. We camp and fish often during the 4th of July weekend.

We sometimes fish in kayaks as we did at Lake Table Rock and Stockton Lake.

Whether bank fishing or boat fishing, grab a friend or two and head for the lakes.
