Fishing families start their young ones early. With a small set of tackle, usually purchased as a package, anyone can teach a child the thrilling yet relaxing fun of fishing.

The great outdoors, fresh air, and promise of a fish catch is exciting. Even more so if a fish is caught. Look for fishing holes and tried and true lakes to give kids early, positive success. Try places called ‘fishing lakes’ which often have good docks or points of land going deep into the water.

Take a picnic. Most areas with parks have places to play as well to vary activities.
