Black Brook Beach is located inside the Cape Breton National Highlands Park, near Ingonish.
What you’ll find here:
Multiple hiking trails, a waterfall, fire pits, picnic tables and change rooms / bathrooms.
The fresh water brook meeting the salt water of the ocean makes for different types of swimming plus amazing tides / waves – but caution is needed, as the waves at Black Brook are known to develop rip tides.
Information is available on site about tip tides and how to deal with them if you end up in a dangerous situation.
One of the nicest and most fun place to swim on Cape Breton Island, just don’t lose your prescription sunglasses when the waves are tossing you around 😂
