Weston Bend State Park campground is a public recreation area on the east bank of the Missouri River in Platte County, Missouri. This small campground has nice shaded areas, but extremely hilly throughout. There was lots of woods around and the campsites were larger and less cramped than many we’ve camped in.
There were a variety of campers there from tents to campers of all sizes. Average camper size was 5th wheels or bigger. The camp host was cordial and made regular rounds. People kept to quiet hours. Unless you are camping right next to the facilities, it’s a real hike, a extreme bike, or car ride away. The bathroom gets a B. Clean enough and fairly modern.
Would I go again? Perhaps in the Fall. With the trees, it would be beautiful and worth the inconveniences.
Until my next adventure,
Deana
