Hidden Gem: Stop at The Depot

Sometimes we really luck out with ‘places to eat near me,’ on Google. After an intense rainy night of tent camping in Weston Bend State Park, Steve and I opted to find breakfast in town instead of firing up the Coleman.

Breakfast just can’t get any better than this place. Located in Leavenworth, KS, a train depot was renovated into a nostalgic breakfast place. It sported many period or near period pieces of furniture and the original wooden floor that creaked when folks walked on it.

I had the eggs benedict, which was truly the best I’ve ever had. The hubs had a jumbled omelet and hand-cut rye toast. They came around after we ate and gave us little cinnamon muffins for free. Would we go back here. Hell yes! Whether you camp or not, stop by The Depot.

On to my next adventure,

Deana
