When we picked up our Runaway Camper, the most direct route to El Dorado State park that evening was through the back country roads and part of the Flint Hills in Kansas. As a prairie girl of Iowa, big skys and rolling hills have always been a favorite. Whether it is Wyoming, Utah, Iowa, or Kansas, they vast expanse of the sky has a calming affect on me.
It’s a testament to taking roads less traveled to get to destinations. To find small towns with interesting local shops and experience the land away from interstate highways.
